PowerPoint presentations in PPTX format are widely used for creating and sharing slide-based presentations.

Lokalise supports the PPTX format, enabling users to manage and translate the content within these presentations efficiently. Please note that currently, Lokalise does not support PPT or ODP files.

Technical information

Using with Lokalise

Lokalise supports PPTX files, allowing you to manage and translate your presentations efficiently. PPTX documents do not require any special formatting.

Supported project types and file management

Please note that PPTX files can be uploaded only to Ad hoc documents projects.

To upload your presentation, open your Lokalise project and proceed to the Upload page.

After uploading a PPTX file to your Lokalise project, all texts from all slides will be extracted. You can view these texts in the project editor:

To download your data in PPTX format back, choose the corresponding option from the Format dropdown on the Download page:

Known issues and technical limitations

  • Using different styles: If your PPTX file includes multiple styles within a single line of text (like different fonts, colors, or sizes), Lokalise might treat these as separate entries. For the best import results, try to keep the styling consistent within the same lines of text.

  • Elements with limited support and unsupported elements:

    • Hidden slides

    • Slide notes

    • Elements from the master slide that haven't been edited

    • Linked X/Y axis labels on charts

Data legends from graphs have limited support. All other elements not mentioned here are supported.
